Being a new student at St.Lawrence College has been challenging. I dropped everything including a partial completion of a very different Masters diploma to be here, at this school. It started out great. New start to a different program, new friends and going great and then the strike happened. Weeks of going without school with no promise we would even make it back to the classroom. It was restless! you can check out the process here at this link,https://www.stlawrencecollege.ca/about/opseu-strike-updates/ . Now it seems all students are stressed out, the professors want to pick up right where we had left off. GREAT! I will manage my stress level but I think it’s almost unfair to expect students to pick up where they left off now that they are OUT of the swing of school. The school once a happy stressful but manageable place is now a place of just stress for both the students and the faculty. As long as we power through and survive this semester next semester will be better, right?
