Now stretching is typically elongating your muscles. This is not the informational blog
for that. I’m talking about using what you already have to result in more self-creativity and satisfaction in both everyday life and in business.
Scott Sonenshein is the author of Stretch: Unlock the Power of Less – And Achieve More Than You Ever Imagined. He is also a man who has helped Fortune 500 executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals in healthcare, banking, non-profits, etc. I chose to read a book by this man because I wanted to learn how to live with less but still live happily.
With a strong online presence, his presence is undeniable. His work has appeared and has been written about in the New York Times, on Reddit.com, CBS News, and multiple radio shows.
I personally feel that today individuals are perceived by society based on what they have and what they look like. In addition, there is an emphasis on how much money you make and pressure to have the newest car of the nicer brand. Some individuals take this personally or feel that they are not on an equal playing field due to not being able to afford the best of the best, but it is a good lesson to learn to be happy with what you have and have that be enough.
So far what I know is that at first it is not easy but it is possible to change how you see and view life. At the end of his book, I hope to have the know-how of what is truly needed when it comes to monetary needs and that it is mindfully possible to live how you want and where you want. Whether that be in New Zealand, Ottawa, British Columbia, Asia, or beyond.
Remember the world is your oyster…
